To support the delivery of primary care services and its various programs,
Family Healthcare relies on support from various groups and organizations. The Federal Government continues to be a source of funds for the Community Health Center. The major funding partner is the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) within the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
To achieve the goal of providing health care services to at risk populations,
Family Healthcare must recover the maximum allowable from Medicaid and Medicare as well as reimbursements from other third-party payers. A significant percentage of costs for services to eligible low-income individuals are defrayed through Medicaid reimbursements. Family Healthcare also receives Medicare reimbursements for services provided to older adults. A significant source of funds come from our uninsured patients who pay based on family size and income.
Family Healthcare must provide access to services without regard for a person's ability to pay at the time of service. Given the limited availability of federal resources, an important component of fulfilling this mandate is the maximization of revenue from all sources and the participation in favorable enhanced or cost-based reimbursement programs for which they are eligible.
We acknowledge and express appreciation to the following agencies for their time and generous support in helping provide health care for the patients at our clinic.
